The Adventures Continue!

Welcome to Week Two of the AELP!  First, we'd like to introduce our most recent addition to the AELP.  Hailing from Germany, we welcome Katharina!  Thanks for joining us, Katharina, and we're excited to share in your learning adventures!
We're so happy you're here, Katharina!
In keeping with our motto "Keep Learning and Adventure On," we begin our Outdoor Adventure-themed week by filling the schedule with exciting activities that incorporate new vocabulary, cultural awareness, and an exploration of life's physical challenges.

To start us off, we brought the AELP students to the Kelly Miller Circus where they witnessed tight-rope walkers, acrobats, and trapeze artists defying gravity and most people's fear of heights!
Tigers, elephants, and zebras were also showcased in the performance and displayed their beauty and intelligence to the wonderment of the students.
Later, the students visited Leavitt Park Beach for some fun in the sun (and a chance of occasional clouds!).  Swimming, playing water games, playing Ladder Ball and an intense game of beach volleyball were just some of the outdoor activities in which the students participated for an all-around invigorating day!
AELP students don't need a net to keep up the beach volleyball intensity!
